Dolce & Gabbana St. Barth

“... [there should be] no objects in the store that we did not design, that italian artisans did not make”
    -from client consultation meeting

The firm provided full architectural and interior services for the brand’s flagship store in Saint Barthelemy. This included creating custom furniture and displays for jewelry, clothing and other apparatus - in collaboration with the client’s large team of in-house traditional craftsmen.

Inspired by the store’s marine surroundings, tables and chairs posed on wavy, braided-rope bound legs were conceived in 3D; Planters and faceted tables echoed the brand’s penchance for incorporating bijoux in their ready-to-wear creations.
Full-size drawings and material tests were sent back and forth from our collaborators in Italy and the office in Tribeca until the desired effect was acheived.
